Webers in Rwanda: Sep. 2023 Missions Update

Ben and Cherie with a Friends of Gahini team and other Rwandan brothers and sisters at the Gahini Revival, where over 8,000 people gathered to worship and hear the Word of God preached in our sister diocese!

We sent out our dear Weber family—Ben, Cherie, and 6 of their children—as missionaries in our sister diocese in Gahini, Rwanda, on March 29th. They’re living among our Rwandan brothers and sisters there, working to strengthen our mission partnership and relationship with our sister parish through Friends of Gahini!

Here’s the Webers’ September newsletter update coming after the huge Gahini Revival earlier in the month! You can find praises and prayer requests below, and read the whole update complete with more photos and details here!

Praises:

In addition to prayer support, Friends of Gahini raised $12,000 for tents and Bibles for the revival and diocese as whole!

  • The kids have all recovered from being sick.

  • The Friends of Gahini team had a safe trip and stayed healthy while they were here for the revival!

  • This past weekend, we were able to go to Kigali to rest and visit friends.

Prayer Requests:

  • Homeschool starts on Monday, October 2nd. Pray we have a good start to our year. All 6 kids will be doing school! Preschool all the way up to 8th grade!

  • Please pray for us to have wisdom to know how to proceed with the English Service in the future.

  • The last two months have brought culture shock front and center for us. Please pray for us as we continue to learn and adapt.
