What do people mean when they say, “I’m giving up ____ for Lent”? How do you choose what to give up?
Learn about the spiritual discipline of fasting & how it’s about more than just giving up sweets until Easter.

Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made, and you forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

So good to be back in person for World Mission Sunday! Thank you @jznoyes for sharing about @newwineskins and encouraging us to share the hope we’ve received to others. Also, the kids got to spend some time with @theweberworld during Children’s Liturgy learning about their life in Rwanda 🇷🇼
“When [Jesus] saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.””
Matthew 9:36-38, ESV
After two snowy Sundays in a row worshipping online, who's ready to be back in person this Sunday? ✋
This Sunday is going to be an extra special one as it is World Mission Sunday AND our dear friend, Jenny Noyes, will be joining us!
Jenny is the Executive Director of New Wineskins Missions Network. She is a global networker with a passion for all people to come to know Jesus! New Wineskins serves as the missions mobilizing arm of the Anglican Church in North America and hosts the New Wineskins Global Missions Conferences every three years.
With more snow expected to come our way this weekend, we are cancelling all in-person events and services on Saturday and Sunday. We will once again hold an ONLINE Morning Prayer Service at 10:00am on Sunday our YouTube channel. Links for the service will be available by Saturday night on redeemergso.org/now.
