New Garden Next: Kamate School

As part of New Garden Next, we hope to not only be a blessing to the ministry God is doing here at New Garden Park, but also to our brothers and sisters across the world. We have been blessed by our relationship with the Karangazi Parish in Rwanda for over a decade, and have witnessed the abundant growth of their parish including the formation of new congregations, such as Kamate. Two years ago, the Rwandan Government instituted a number of regulations on churches across the country due to safety reasons (not for persecuting reasons). Churches and their facilities were required to have metal roofs, handicap accessible ramps, concrete floors, and fully separate men and women’s bathrooms.  This led to the closure of more than 700 churches and schools across the country.

Kamate has since built a section of classrooms. They responded with a great deal of faith and hard work.  By helping them build another wing to their church, this church will have a fully compliant and fully functioning school and church. In this part of the Rwandan countryside, it will also be the only functioning and compliant school for miles.  We have been sharing with the Kamate church for years our desire to help.

As we buy and build our properties, what could be more exciting than to also build an excellent set of facilities for our brothers and sisters who love us dearly and whom we love?
