And just like that we’re in the final days of Advent…
As we get ready to celebrate the moment when God came down to dwell among his people in the most unexpected way, look back on the past year and ponder the ways God has unexpectedly made himself known to you. Like Mary, let those things dwell in your heart as we prepare to enter into Christmas Eve, our holiday celebrations, and look towards a new calendar year.
A special thank you to David Stanley for this beautiful work of art reminding us that the Light shines in the darkness (John 1:5).
This Sunday is the fourth week of Advent and the last weekend our Advent Giving Tree will be up in the Greenhouse! Be sure to stop by and consider giving towards either:
- Scholarships for Students in Rwanda: Our church sponsors 10 students from our sister parish in Rwanda (seen in the 1st photo) to receive quality, Christian education. It costs about $250/student to cover tuition, uniforms, and school supplies for a year. Donations of any amount towards our goal of $2500 are appreciated.
- Farm to Flourish Program: Help us bless our F2F students who work on the Farm with Christmas bonuses and holiday assistance for their families.
HOW TO GIVE: Pick an ornament from the Giving Tree in the Greenhouse and scan the QR code on the back OR visit redeemergso.org/advent to give online.
Join us for worship at one of our Christmas Eve services at 12pm, 5pm, or 10pm on December 24th!
Nursery care will be available for kids up to age 4 during the 12pm and 5pm services.
We can't wait to celebrate the birth of our Lord together!
Over 100 ladies of all ages gathered this past Saturday for a lovely Christmas Tea ☕️ Thank you to our Saints Over Sixty ladies for hosting this event & transforming our sanctuary into a tea room!
If you find yourself entering this holiday season feeling heavy, weary, grieving, or lonely, we invite you to come to our Blue Christmas Service this Wednesday, December 17th at 6:30pm. This will be a service of gentle music and space for reflection and prayer to bring these cares before the Lord our Comforter.
On this second week of Advent, we hope you’ll join us for our Lessons & Carols service TONIGHT (12/10) at 6:30pm as we tell the story of the coming of our long-expected Savior, from creation to the announcement of his coming birth. This is a family-friendly service, full of music and story, that reminds the weary world that God is faithful to keep his promises.
