Peter ends his letter to the believers in exile with a final exhortation to be watchful and sober-minded, knowing that there is an adversary that would love nothing more than to discourage, divide, and cause us to lose hope. We are reminded to stand firm in our faith, remembering that God has the ultimate power to restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us. We are to be on watch, but never lacking in hope.
